Well, that’s what everyone, including ourselves, thought about last night. A fantastic gig, led by a cracking set by Sounds Like April and followed with a very loud and stunning performance by CMMC. Thankyou to all who came along and supported us and a bigger thanks, to CMMC, Sounds Like April and all our staff. From Monday the 17th December we will have fresh mutton from Aird on sale at Nunton. We already have Aird lamb and mutton, Hebridean lamb from Petersport and North Uist venison available in our freezer. Why not buy local meat for Christmas and New Year?
“Crash My Model Car” , the Glasgow based indie band who have just released their first CD, will be appearing at Nunton Steadings on the 28th December. “CMMC” are - Iain Morrison on vocals and guitar, Tony Soave on drums, Ali Whitty on bass and Martin Kelly on guitar and keyboards. Originally from Lewis, the band have received great reviews after releasing their debut album “Ghosts and Heights”. If you want to sample some of their tracks, visit their myspace site or listen to Radio Nunton, either way, you should buy the album then come along to Nunton on the 28th for the gig to see them live.
Tickets for the “Crash My Model Car” gig are now on sale at Nunton Steadings. The night starts at 8pm with “Sounds Like April” then headliners CMMC take the stage.

Amanda Rae will be exhibiting her works in the Steadings. Amanda is currently studying at Taigh Chearsabhagh after completing Year 1 BA in Fine Art. Living in South Uist she is continually inspired by its uplifting scenery, its beauty and tranquility. Her expressive paintings and drawings portray a love of experimentation with colours and texture; creating abstract designs that convey moods and emotions responding to the surrounding environment.

This will give you an idea of what to expect but the format will depend on the interests of participants. There should be something for everyone and above all the workshops should be a lot of fun.
