The Islands Book Trust - As part of the continuing programme to mark the 50th anniversary of the RA Range, a talk and presentation by Dr Fraser MacDonald (lecturer in Human Geography, University of Melbourne, Australia) on the The Uists in the Cold War: Testing and contesting NATO’s first nuclear missile.

Nunton Steadings at 8pm on Tuesday 5th June.
Admission: Book Trust Members £3, Non Members £5

Dr MacDonald has researched many aspects of the build-up of the Range and how it became the catalyst for a variety of debates about the place of the Uists and the local culture within a rapidly integrating world.
