Have you ever desired to escape and celebrate New Year in style and
somewhere out of the ordinary and to spend time with a loved one or simply
to relax with a group of friends? If you are alone, have you desired to
travel to a remote place and meet likeminded people and celebrate with
these new found friends the start of a new year?

the UK by any other operator.
Can you imagine waking up at St Kilda on New Year’s Day after celebrating in
style the night before with fireworks, music and good company? Following a
hearty breakfast then getting the chance to take the helm and steer the
yacht through the stacks and around St Kilda before tucking into a
sumptuous dinner late afternoon. All prepared for you on board the “Elinka”

Early evening will see us anchored in Village Bay looking to the Northern
Skies in search of the Aurora Borealis while one of our musicians plays you
some traditional music on board and we relax with a glass or two of the
finest malts. Following breakfast on the third day we set sail for home

Having just returned from Glasgow, we are just returning to normality, no joined up shops, supermarkets, etc, but nice peaceful surroundings and familiar faces. When we were away, Mairi and I went for the obligatory tour around Ikea (plus a three hour traffic jam!), ASDA, Braehead and other delightful places. However, we did find a fantastic Indian restaurant on Byres Road by the name of “Mrs Majhur’s”. We thoroughly recommend paying this restaurant a visit, excellent food, “all really fresh” as Mairi likes to say! A big thanks to “Mac” the owner for a great evening, we’ll be back.
I found a review here and here and a holding page here. You can get in touch with Mrs Majhur’s on 0141 339 1339, they can be found at 41 Byres Road, Glasgow.
